Ricky Ortiz started H.O.P.E. back in 1993 as a little 7 year old boy. Along with his family, he retrieved donations from numerous sources and started with a giving tree.
7 years later he amassed several thousands of dollars and a treasure trove of donated gifts. He was able to give Christmas to 57 children. Once the family moved from the local town, the non profit work discontinued even though volunteering was always done. In 2017, his interest was once again peaked with a small non profit and he started his work again. This time as an adult he was able to assist with so much more and found himself as the Director of Operations. He would volunteer his time and energy until he resigned in May of 2020.
He has now started up H.O.P.E. to assist those who need it. He wants to make sure the differences made for those who need it are permanent and beneficial.
Debbie, the mother of Ricky and Cordero, started the process early in helping others. She initiated the giving tree at her salon that inspired Ricky as a young boy. She has worked in the non profit industry for almost 25 years. She loves assisting others and seeing their smiles. She has always believed in helping other people and treating them with the love and respect we all deserve. She hopes to take this position and amplify her impact on the local community and to assist this organization in growing to serve more.
Karla has been in the non-profit industry for almost 4 years. She loves sharing the joy and blessings that have come her way. She wants to instill the love of giving and helping others to her children, whom are also actively involve in HOPE.
